Who you are dealing with
You are buying from TappdZA, a small business trading in South Africa. TappdZA is not a registered company and is not registered for VAT, so no company or VAT number applies and no VAT is added to the price you see.

We sell NFC bracelets and the small web service behind them. Payments are taken by Yoco, a South African payment provider — your card details go to Yoco and are never seen or stored by us.
Orders from our US store (prices in US dollars) are paid through Stripe, Inc. — your card details go to Stripe and are never seen or stored by us — and are shipped with USPS from stock held in the United States. Everything else on this page applies to them the same way.
Orders
An order is confirmed when your payment clears and we email you. Until then nothing is reserved. We can decline an order — if we are out of stock, if a price was listed wrong, or if something looks fraudulent — and if we do, you are refunded in full.
Prices
Prices in the US store are in US dollars. Where sales tax applies to your order it is calculated and shown at checkout, before you pay.
Prices in the South African store are in South African Rand and include VAT where applicable. We can change prices, but never after you have paid. If a price is obviously wrong — a bracelet listed at R1 — we will contact you rather than silently cancel.
The verses
Tapping a bracelet opens a verse from a rotating library. Verses are chosen at random on purpose: the point is what you are given, not what you picked. Scripture quotations remain the property of their respective translation rights holders.
Your bracelet
The NFC chip is passive — no battery, nothing to charge, no data stored on it about you. Water resistant, not indestructible. It will not survive being put through a washing machine, and it is not a medical or emergency device.
Referral codes
Referral codes give a small discount to a friend and a small credit to you. They cannot be used on the order that created them, cannot be used twice by the same person, and have no cash value. We can withdraw a code that is being abused.
Accounts
Accounts are optional and currently store your details in your own browser. Do not treat one as a secure vault.
Liability
We stand behind the product: if it is faulty we replace or refund it, as set out in returns. Beyond that, our liability is limited to what you paid for the order. Nothing here limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act — those rights come first. If you are a consumer in the United States, nothing here limits any right you have under the laws of your state.
Governing law
South African law applies. If you buy from our US store as a consumer, this does not take away any protection the law of your state gives you.
